Clean Your Filters Every 2 Weeks

Dirty filters block airflow and force your compressor to work harder. Remove the front panel, rinse the filters under lukewarm water and let them dry completely before reinstalling. Clean filters improve cooling, lower noise and reduce energy bills.

How Often Should You Service Your Aircon?

• Residential units: every 3 months for regular use, every 2 months for heavy daily use.
• Commercial units: monthly or quarterly depending on operating hours and foot traffic.
• Chemical wash or overhaul: once every 12 to 18 months, or when deep mould and grime build up.

Energy-Saving Habits

• Set the thermostat to 24–25°C for comfort and efficiency.
• Use fan mode at night to circulate cool air without running the compressor.
• Keep doors and windows closed while the aircon is on.
• Shade outdoor condenser units from direct sunlight if possible.

Signs It's Time to Call a Professional

• Weak airflow, warm air or uneven cooling across rooms.
• Water leaks, unusual noises, bad smells or blinking error lights.
• Ice forming on the evaporator coils or frequent power trips.
• Your electricity bill spikes suddenly without more usage.

Don't Forget the Condenser

The outdoor condenser needs clear airflow too. Trim plants, remove debris and gently wash the coils. A blocked condenser reduces cooling power and raises running costs.
